We have always walked amongst you mortals, always. We imitated your twisted, ugly forms as you progressed, taught you to make fire and feed your tribes. Danced with you during your Solstice celebrations, and watched over you when you brought yourselves to the very brink of extinction, bringing you back from the edge. And then you forgot us.
Without your dreams, your hopes, we died. So many of us simply faded into nothingness. But not the TRIAD, on their sheltered Isle, no. They waited, so patiently, and that hope kept them alive. And then their moment came: they threw open the doors to the lost, the broken, and the damned. They gave those who were so near to hopelessness a second chance, and in doing so their Isle flourished. The darkness lurks in shadows, the light finds those who seek it, and in the middle they stand and watch it all.
They're waiting for you.
