Just so I can get this out in the open... I think it's lame that if Saturn just drops her glaive, it's game over for the rest of the world....So, in order to rule out accidents, mainly Saturn's the only one who knows this, so other senshi still may believe that the simple drop will end the world...
But instead, to really bring destruction to the world, Saturn must perform a ritual, which is in the sense of a sacred dance. Sort of like Yuna from Final Fantasy X when she's performing the sending in Kilika.
And while Saturn does this dance, destruction starts throughout the world... And at the end of her dance, she brings the tip of her Glaive to the ground and the ultimate destruction destroys Earth.
I think that sounds much better than "Oops! I dropped it! DAMN!"
