Civilian Information
Name: Vexzeleratius Arian Lagurus
Gender: Male
Age: 325(a rough estimate) though he still appears to be 19 years old
Birthday: 10/22/1684(estimated)
Birthplace: Lagurus Imperial Capital on Necristas.
Physical description:
Vexzel stands at 7'5'' with a thin, yet somewhat muscular build. His pale, almost deathly so, skin is contrasted by short pitch-black hair, left hanging just past the top of his neck. The vampire has a clear handsome face with pale lips and amethyst eyes.
Vexzel has a large pair of crow-like wings upon his back. This throw debate of his demonic father toward the more avian species but the exact demon, or even the breed of the creature were never found. What is known is the wings are about 4 feet from top(rising over Vexzel's head) to lowest feather-tips with about a 10 foot span overall. These wings are often kept wrapped around Vexzel' torso under his clothes. This often leads to wearing a jacket to hide the extra bulk.
Outfits will vary and will be described upon entering a thread.
Personality:
Depending on how you meet him Vexzel can come of as a nice guy or evil incarnate. Even during his nice act, Vexzel comes of as a natural loner, an intellectual, and emotionally withdrawn.
With his true nature, Vexzel prioritizes his own gain over that of all others. More often than not, he sees others as simple 'tools' to fulfill his plans. Once he has finalized those plans its next to impossible to make him change his mind. One of his few redeeming features is a hard to shake sense of honor, and maybe the highly unlikely possibility of loyalty to a lover.
Senshi Information: Non-Existent
Attacks:
Shadow-craft: To Vexzel shadows are tools for his evil magic to manifest; they are as doors and windows, blades and shields. Any shadow near Vexzel can be shaped for a variety of spells. If the object/creature the shadow is attached to has magical powers it will cause interference and may prevent Vexzel from using that shadow.
When Vexzel controls a shadow it can detach from its given object and be shaped into a variety of things. Weapons, Shields, portals, even copies of animals capable of inflicting harm on real people. Primarily quick formed then destroyed weapons. Shadow-craft can be broken and weakened by opposing magic and cannot be used in total darkness.
Shadow-craft is like second nature to Vexzel, requiring little more than a thought. It is detectable by a sudden energy spike in his aura as shadows are reformed
Birds of Fire: A spell of fire using the souls of birds of prey as familiars. Vexzel summons and forms a small group of bird-like elementals and they will begin attacking independently(or as commanded) Vexzel can control up to six of them at a time.
Contact with the fiery birds will, obviously, result in burning. The birds can fire weak bursts of their own mystic fire and self-destruct at will causing an explosion on about the scale of a military grade grenade.
The birds can be destroyed by opposing magic or energy based attacks. The only physical thing they fear is water, blades and bullets are useless.
Miasma: A mist made by infusing evil energy into the air. Inhaling the miasma infects the body with evil energy that functions much like a poison, starting in the lungs then spreading into the bloodstream. The evil energy in the mist will sap the life-force of any living thing(with the exception of demons) breathing it. Healing and purifying magic can stop the effects, but prolonged exposure leads to certain death.
The only way to fully dispel the miasma is to stop breathing it. The mist itself is often short-lived, but can be destroyed with purifying magic or air-purifying technology.
This mist is also what composes most of the atmosphere on Vexzel's home world of Necristas.
Ereshkigal: A powerful spell consuming the captive souls of the dead often used as a last resort. It takes a long time to charge at which time Vexzel must remain stationary often chanting(still working on the actual chant) This leaves him wide open and unable to use other spells. Though if enough energy is built up it can deflect weaker attacks, or even lash out at nearby creatures.
Ereshkigal functions by consuming the souls of the dead, destroying them, and converting the remains into a blast raw dark power. Ereskigal's power often varies depending on how long Vexzel spent casting and how many souls are sacrificed, but a direct hit is almost certain death even to senshi.
Once it is unleashed there is virtually no protection or defense. On a large enough scale Ereshkigal can be used to destroy entire planets(though it is kept sealed by Vexzel's mother remotely, keeping it to only able to level a large city with about one hundred sacrifices and about fifteen minutes of casting)
Weapon:
Irkalla: A scythe crafted from Vexzel's own shadow. A slender black 7' handle with a pitch black 4' curved blade emerging at the top end, off the one side as all scythes are. then end of the scythes pole forms into sharp spikes at either end given Vexzel the added option of using Irkalla as a lance.
Founds made by Irkalla can be infected by the dark energy composing the scythe. Such infections induce pain, draw out the victim's blood and greatly slow natural healing. this can be countered by cauterizing smaller wounds and casting healing magic on larger ones
Other stuff:
I kinda intend to have this character as a plot villain, so expect fights with him to seems about like boss level. one on one is not advised, but if ya fight fair Vexzel will do the same.
Hmmm, yes about vampire weaknesses and the like. My memory on the Muyu rules is a bit sketchy but for now I'll go with.....
Sunlight: Vexzel can stand some direct exposure but not for more than an hour. He sure as hell won't sparkle but give it long enough and he'll burn. Not burst into flames, think like the-worst-sunburn-you-ever-had about five times worse. Finding shade every now and again gives Vexzel time to heal and endure the sun for longer times; cloudy days are nice too.
Crosses: A symbol of faith, nothing more. Doesn't matter how many crucifixes you shove in his face they'll do nothing without some kind of magic behind them.
Garlic: More of an allergy problem than a weakness......
Holy Water/Blessed Stuffs: If it has holy/purifying properties it will cause some damage.... but if all you did was mumble some church phrases over the water I don't see much effect.....
Healing magic: We all know what happens when you use purifying or light-based magic on the un-dead right? Adverse re-actions of great pain and sometimes making the damage worse. on the off chance someone has dark-based healing it will work normally.
Vexzel is able to use Necromancy: The ancient and foul magic art of raising the dead. While not often an attack, it seems good to warn you to expect zombies to burst from the ground at Vexzel's bidding to devour your brains.
This type of magic allows Vexzel to construct monsters from bones and dead flesh, and may also be used to seal or steal souls of fallen enemies. After all, why hire help when you can make your own?
Given enough time and 'supplies' Vexzel can do much, much worse than mere zombies and skeletons. Though I'd like to avoid this becoming a mere 'monster of the day' concept.
History:
(considering that this spans several centuries I'll summarize his early life.) Vexzel's birth was one of the first cases of a hybrid vampire in Necristas' history; with nothing less than the Empress of the most powerful empire on the planet as the mother, and an unknown father(believed to be one type of avian demon or another but nothing is known) The fact of the matter was that the might Lagurus Empire, ruling nearly half of Necristas now had an heir.
Even from his crib Vexzel attracted the occasional assassination attempt. Though it was rare anyone would risk the Empress' wrath some of the factions of the Dark Overlord Federation thought it best to end the possibility of another royal-class vampire....... naturally they failed. Not even the most trusted palace servants entered the nursing chamber without Empress Larizashevire(Lariza for short) blowing them to bits, or worse.
By the time Vexzel was a toddler he was always curious. It was hard to tell if he took in more knowledge or blood in his early childhood. though for a time he was actually naive and bullied when the Empress wasn't watching. Even when Lariza was present he was far from a spoiled or pampered child; she did a great deal to ensure he learned proper discipline
Around the age of six Vexzel began fiddling with magic, at the encouragement of his mother he learned the basics of forming spells rather quickly. Though it took a few years for him to get it quite right..... once he did, Vexzel began quickly gaining influence over the power of darkness. In under half the time it took Vexzel to cast his first spell, he came to control the shadows to the same extent as mosst veteran wizards could.
Once her son seemed capable Lariza began teaching him what it meant to be her heir. Granting him one Imperial duty after another; even given him troops to command by the young age of fifteen.(Even her most loyal general, Malleresk raised a great deal of rukus about this, un-intionally teach Vexzel his first few curse word.) It was debatable which was more shocking, Vexzel's speed at learning how the military functioned or the survival rate of what few minions he was given.
From that point Vexzel spent most of his life either at the bidding of his mother or tending to his newborn twin brother and sister. Though what-ever his mother did to distract and delay him coudln't seem to stop Vexzel's unquenchable thirst for greater power. Even certain factions of the Empire chose to back the young prince and overthrow the Empress once her son could take her.
Though Vexzel never harbored intention of a revolt, the public opinion differed. Eventually those favoring the new prince, weither he liked it or not started plotting a civil war. This was ended with the Empress placing a seal upon her son to restrain his magic from growing to rival her own; lacking a champion against the Empress the planned rebelion fell apart almost instantly.
For nearly two centuries Vexzel spent his time crushing one rebellion or foreign attack after another. Not under Lariza's orders but simply to maintain what little order Necristas had in the early days of the Lagurus Empire and Overlord Federation. Once it was globally realized that the Empire simply could not fall an unsteady peace came to Necristas.
Lariza directed Vexzel's attention to other worlds rather than their own all-but-dead planet. It took a great deal of time to devise a way to travel between worlds, but once it did Vexzel began exploring both near and distant 'pure' worlds. He soon came to favor Earth, for such visitations. Interstellar contact was first made with more advanced planets then earth however, about a centurey and a half ago. Some of those planets even gave demon-kind( or Necristian demons at leas) the first contact with humans in near a millenium.
It did not go well.
Necristas became infamous for several interstellar wars and even rumors of Lariza destroying a planet with the newly made(and soon sealed) spell Ereskigal. Through the turmoil of maintaining her own Empire and finding a new realm Lariza eventually had new orders for her son.....
Role-playing Example:
Miasma swirled in pruple coils thick enough to cut with a knife in the throne room of Castle Azrivial, the home and place of power of Empress Lariza. For some reason the aggrivating mist always was drawn to her overbearing magic whenever she got settled down. This time it was thick enough for Vexzel to even have trouble making out his mothers face as she swatted at the mist.
"Vexing wheather aside, I've called you here for a reason..." Lariza broke off, abrutly trying to explode the miasma this time, only for fresh mist to fill the gap left by her mystic fire. Vexzel heard her face-palm as she continued. "This planet is dying if not already dead as we all know. Crops die in the ground, toxin levels continue to rise. We need to find somewhere pure to settle."
Vexzel simply stood absent-mindedly fiddling with the coners of his upraised cape collar. Obsidian lined with amethyst like the rest of his clothes.
A black shirt with amethyst lines down the arms and at the sides under them, the imperial crest printed in gold upon the the front. No belt under the shirt just pitch-black leggings with the same streak of purple on the outward sides, with bear feet. It was unusall for mother to call before what little sun Necristas got through its tainted atmosphere had set. He'd barely managed to get out of his coffin and partically dressed before she began to ramble.
"Please mother, to the point. We've both heard this story too many times." It took some effort to stiffle the yawn that followed.
It was impossible to see just what gesture of irratation Lariza had made, if any with the record-setting amount of maisma clinging to her aura.
"That Earth your so fond of.... and those, what are they called again....." It was almost tempting to just called them witches, but their power seemed different....
"Senshi, O Empress Forgetful." When you were one of the handful of beings who could mock Lariza and live it was worth doing on a daily basis.
"Whatever they are, they've caught my interest. That was always a bad sign. "They might be something worth researching..... and that silver crystal.... with all the entities wanting to destroy Earth they should be long dead..... From all the reports Sailor Moon sounded not only incompitent, but that her little following would be destroyed in one attack from her Imperial Majesty. How they had defended that desireable little planet so long was...... baffling.
Vexzel didn't get it either, but his reply was delayed with a yawn. Holding one hand infront of his mouth for a moment before lowering it to speak again. "I don't comprehend them either, but I take it you want me to learn sense you can't leave the planet without causing an invasion."
"Well I can't trust your sister with it." between the black viels around the throne and the purple mist clogging the room it looked like she was sitting sideways now, legs hanging over the right edge of the throne, her arms outsretched to the left. "Your brother is still doing those foolish negotiations with Bael; not like he can keep that lunatic from starting another war in the Federation after that last stunt Baphomet pulled."
Vexzel missed that report, but sounded like the demonic nobles were taking shots at each other again. Being stuck on this dying planet with the race to scientific space travel still going did wonders for bringing out the stabby-ness of demonic nature.... and it sounded like Baphomet was winning. "Thanatos said they wern't worth bothering with for another thousand years or so; even you can't rush a prophet's fore-sight.
"True, but that doesn't stop me from testing them now does it. Do whatever you want to draw out their full potinetal, aside from trying to destroy the Earth, and see if they can live up to Thanatos' absurd expectations."
Word of Propechy were a trick business; if the sage Thanatos thought they would build a utpoia to rival the Empire it may be worth investigating. "The demons don't have space-ships yet....... we're going to use that deminsion gates aren't we?" Teleporting anything across a galaxy and a half was risky, Vexzel never liked the concept, nor spending neary a week making his way through inter-diminsional limbo; for once he thought the scientific ideas were better.
The fact that Lariza didn't reply, gave Vexzel an unwanted hint at a 'yes' answer. He turned his eyes to the black floor, mumbled one of the fouler things in the common demon-language and started back to his room.....
"Technically its the goblins that have made space travel possible; Your still teleporting to Earth from outside lunar orbit though, too many statelites."
Vexzel still just kept walking, though the next week or so was looking much less grim...... If nothing else Earth, or more specifically Japan would be worth the trip; especially now that he was being asked to cause trouble rather than avoid it.
Half-way through the pitch black windowless hallway he grinned and evil grin, already plotting how to make this vacation the most 'fun'
